The welshhighland forums operate in friendly parallel with, but independently of, the Yahoo Group, and were created in the hope of addressing some of the drawbacks experienced by a number of present and past members of the Yahoo Group, which is not always as relevant or civilised as it was intended to be.

The Yahoo Group WelshHighland is defined as "a general discussion group for history, preservation, modelling, rebuilding and operating of the Welsh Highland Railway and its predecessors". Most members use it as an email list, but you can opt to read messages via the web instead.
