Locations on the Official Route (as currently known) are in white

After crossing the River Glaslyn at Pont Croesor, the line heads away from the mountains and towards the sea, through the open fields of the lower Traeth, over the Cambrian coast main line and into the town with tramway sections leading finally to Harbour Station and the Cob. The whole section is close to sea level, mostly carried on banks above the surrounding flood plain with  minimal gradients.

The line runs straight off the end of Pont Croesor on to the B4410  crossing which is located at a 90o bend in the road - awkward!  The crossing is to be controlled by lights - not installed at the time the photographs were taken.
The road crossing and Gwalch y Mor crossing (see below) will be operated as a single entity with lights on the same system controlling both. White crossing indicator lights will flash when the crossing lights are operating. Two sets of white lights will be provided, one at each crossing.

The crossing gives access to the Osprey visitor centre in summer and can be quite busy. In winter the gates beside the line are used as an occupation crossing
Pont Croesor future loop Pont Croesor halt is likely to have a full length loop here in time. The ballast can be seen and the north end points are in place, although are to be moved one panel  south later. There will probably be two separate platforms outside the loop rather than an island platform in order to reduce the load on the edges of the formation.
